STATE CUSTOMS SERVICES: THE NOTION, BASIC DESCRIPTIONS, FORMS

Background. The goal of the research is to define the notion, basic descriptions of the state customs services in the general system of public services, services in the field of customs and proposals of their classification.
Materials and methods. The comparative-legal method and the method of legal acts analizing were used as the research methods.
Results. The definition of state customs services, indroduced by the authors, and the classification of the state customs services by criteria of the objective field, con-sumers of services, onerousness of the services and the apparatus of its realization are the theoretical results of the research. As for practice, these results can be used in administrative operations of the customs authorities for improving the administrative and legal regulation and practicing the realization of the state customs services.
Conclusions. Under the public services in customs the authors understand the tendency of the administrative operations of customs authorities in realization of their functions. These services are realized by administrative procedures and are re-gulated at the departmental level. The quality of these services is associated with the efficiency of control and other activities of the customs authorities.
